You have a number of different options for the head of your brush cutter or line trimmer. You may use an auto feed head or pre-cut line head to trim your edges. The size and shape of line you use will depend on what grass you are trying to manage. The smaller the diameter of line the less damage it does to your trees, shrubs and plants but does require more effort to cut the grass. It also wears quicker which mean reloading more often.

Always make sure you have a cut off blade on the guard of your brush cutter or line trimmer, so you do not overload the clutch or engine. If you are using a blade on your brush cutter, you must be extremely careful as they have a tendency to grab or bind up with long grass.
