On Road Motorcycle Servicing and Repairs
A road bike means freedom to get out and enjoy the road or track.
As part of our service we will thoroughly inspect your road bike to ensure it is in a safe working order; as well as cleaning, checking, changing or replacing:
- air filter
- all wheel bearings
- battery terminals
- brakes and brake fluid level
- chain tension
- charging system
- cooling system
- engine oil & filter
- fuel filter (if fitted)
- lubricate pivot points
- over whole machine
- spark plugs
- spoke tension
- steering head bearings
- swingarm and linkage bearings
- tyre condition
- tyre pressures
- valve clearances
We will advise of future repairs required and offer advice on how best to care for your motorcycle.
A little thing often forgotten is the brake fluid – your brake fluid should be replaced every two years if using mineral brake fluid, or every 12 months if using silicone brake fluid. If you fail to flush and replace your brake fluid at the correct intervals, it will absorb moisture from the air and lower to boiling point, as well as corrode the internal components of the braking system. This could mean a very expensive repair or even worse an accident.
